AFSA Board Election: Paper Ballot Request

Request a Paper Ballot by January 31!

Dear AFSA member,

The election cycle for the 2025-2027 AFSA Governing Board is now underway. A call for nominations was issued last week, and the Committee on Elections encourages members to consider running for office to serve their colleagues and the Foreign Service.

As in years past, this election will be conducted primarily via an online ballot. AFSA has contracted with Survey & Ballot Systems, a reputable online voting company and our partner for a decade, to run the online part of this election. Ballots will be sent to your primary email address (the address where you are receiving this message) on March 31.

We encourage members to exercise their vote using the online ballot, which is easy to use and will take you through the voting process in just a few minutes.

However, we do understand that a few members may prefer a paper ballot. Given the short voting period, we ask that any member who wishes to receive a paper ballot notify AFSA by 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, January 31. We cannot guarantee the timely delivery of a paper ballot if your request is received after that date.

To request a paper ballot, please email election@afsa.org with your full name and current mailing address, in case AFSA does not have it on file.

Thank you for your attention to this request.
